The CESAR Scheme has marked a major milestone after the 600,000th protected machine was announced during Plantworx 2023.
Suneeta Johal, CEO of show hosts the Construction Equipment Association, was on hand to present to Manitou a symbolic CESAR ID plate numbered 600,000.
Manitou’s Mark Ormond (MD), Peter Smyth (sales director), David Clark (product manager) and Chloe Tapp (marketing manager) were on hand to receive the award.
Mark Ormond said, “We have been supporters of the CESAR Scheme since its inception and recognise its part in reducing theft. We’re delighted to be the manufacturer of the machine which has reached this incredible milestone and will continue to support CESAR.”
CESAR’s offering was strengthened by the addition of CESAR ECV, which provides confirmation of a machine’s emissions status.
Kevin Howells, MD of Datatag ID, the technology partner to the CESAR Scheme, added, “I want to thank Manitou for their continued support of the CESAR Scheme; they were one of the first to recognise the benefit to their customers and continue to be an ambassador tor the scheme.”
